The Southern Literary Trail is the first tri-state literary trail in the United States. It celebrates acclaimed 20th century writers and playwrights of Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia and leads you on a journey of discovery to the places that shaped and inspired them. The Trail is a non-stop literary celebration with events, programs, and exhibits taking place at Trail sites throughout the year.
“In our old Georgia home we used to have two sitting rooms—a back one and a front one—with folding doors between. These were the family living rooms and the theatre of my shows. The front sitting room was the auditorium, the back sitting room the stage. The sliding doors the curtain.”
Donations to the Southern Literary Trail assist with developing and promoting exhibits and other educational programs which are free to the public. Donations are tax deductible.
